Not every room needs a hype man

Some rooms need a host

Event MC and Speaker based in London

25 years. Every kind of room

With over 25 years of live performance experience, Chris Binns has hosted weddings, corporate events and conferences across the UK — including the Pro Mobile Conference 2026 and the District 91 Toastmasters Opening and Gala Dinner.

Warm without being soft. Authoritative without being stiff. The kind of presence that makes a room feel held rather than managed.

What people say:

Being the MC at a DJ conference is one of those gigs that looks straightforward until you think about it for more than five seconds. The room is 98% male DJs, many of whom also work as MCs. Which means roughly half the audience is quietly assessing your every segue, your mic technique, your timing, and your ability to keep a roomful of professional ranters and talkers on track. Chris handled it brilliantly.

Over two days at the Pro Mobile DJ Conference, he was consistently entertaining without being exhausting, informative without being dry, and kept everything moving without ever making it feel like he was herding cats. That last part is harder than it sounds when the cats are professional entertainers with opinions.

What I noticed most was his situational awareness. He read the room well, adjusted his energy when needed, and never seemed rattled when the unexpected happened (which, at a live two-day event, it always does). The introductions were sharp. The transitions were clean. He managed to hold authority in a room where plenty of people present could have stepped up and done the same job, which is genuinely the most difficult version of that gig.

Top-quality work. I'd book him without hesitation.
